Test crate

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

these are shots that show the crate and how the components of 557 will fit inside the crate. fuel will be protected by the tarps while it’s in the crate during shipping. already the work is starting to resonate with me.

Fuel

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

this is an email sent to me by the company that poured fuel:

Here’s some pics showing the wax shrinkage while cooling. 1 day cooling, 2 days cooling, 5 days cooling. Wax was still liquid in the middle on day 4. Tunnel formed into the middle by day 5, then only 1 “top up” pour was necessary to bring it level to the top as it is now.

Thanks,
Chris

Wax for FUel

Friday, February 26th, 2010

I spent today prepping for pouring the wax for FEUL. I was smashing wax bricks. still not sure if wicks and wax will be able to do the pour. if not them I am sure I’ll find some one to help me. it may too big for me to do on my own. we will see.
