Saturday, September 18th, 2010Morning time, things started to get real formal at this point, the started very playfull but ended very stiff.
I was tempted to go back in the morning before the opening to mess around again. I wont.
As it stands now, the configuration, is tight and i guess, represents the direction the project could go. Its honest in a way, i was torn by it being the last day and wanting to try configurations and not having the time to go completely in one direction. The short of it , i ran out of time. the last configuration is like a tapas of possibilities.

day 7
Friday, September 17th, 2010More of using the tarps as open forms, cramming spaces, filling. I also did a bit of placing the tarps around the space. Today was a good indication of what friday will bring. I was able to speak to James and he is willing to pack the crate for shipping. This helps me to configure anything i like tomorrow. I dont have to leave the tarps in a folded or semi folded result.
Friday will be fun.

Day 6
Thursday, September 16th, 2010Today was great.
Moved from the compressed forms to more open, and unstable. Its not that I exhausted the condensed forms, there would be more I am sure. I wanted to have time to explore what possibilities I would have with the open forms. So these shots are a few results of that exploration.
More to happen in the morning and friday, not sure how I will leave it for the rest of the exhibition. Not a concern at this point.

Wednesday, September 15th, 20105 Day 9-12
Tuesday, September 14th, 2010What a day. Managed to get a few new configuration. I began the day convinced I was going to create one I had done before. It is very similar in a lot of way. The most exciting part of doing was that it lead me to consider some new configurations. i am very tired now.So I am going to upload some photos and write more tonight?
Day 4
Tuesday, September 14th, 2010DAy 4
I just finished going over the documentation from today, lots of media. Today was probably the most diverse selection of configurations to date. There around 3 1/2days left of the project . Should be interesting for sure. Its tuning out much better than I have expected it to. In what way, the amount of new configurations, i was planning on repeats of past ideas. I am also more confident in the decisions I am making as I move through the day. For example the the last shots below just happened before i left, and I wasnt doing to do it because I thought that the forms may look like people. I did it anyway, and they ended up being very strong in presents.

Day 3 1-5
Monday, September 13th, 2010Day 3 9-12
Sunday, September 12th, 2010A late lunch today.
Forgot to mention yesterday,I had an interesting conversation about the work with a couple from Ottawa.
Moving along.
The project pushes different configurations of the same material. New forms are taking shape with this exhibition. I am a little surprised considering the duration of the previous exhibition.
I also concede to repeating configurations from previous exhibition. I simply feel focusing on new configurations is to narrow for the work. Some of the configurations worked very well, plus, considering that slight alterations could be fun.
The space is smaller than I’d like, this just means it’s more challenging to move the tarps around. Me being lazy. Like anything, patients and considered movements works best.
